Allen-Bradley 1747-ASB SER A Remote I/O Adapter Module

The 1747-ASB Series A module serves as a bridge between 1746 I/O modules and PLC or SLC processors via a Remote I/O network. Occupying the first slot (Slot 0) of a 1746 remote chassis, it acts as an adapter (slave) on the RIO link and as the master of the remote chassis and any connected expansion chassis. The module supports various addressing modes, including 1/2-slot, 1-slot, and 2-slot addressing, allowing flexible configuration of up to 30 slots. It operates at communication rates of 57.6K, 115.2K, and 230.4K baud, with maximum cable distances of up to 3048 meters (10,000 feet) at 57.6K baud. The 1747-ASB module consumes 600 mA at 5V DC and features DIP switches for easy configuration. LED indicators provide status information, aiding in troubleshooting and operation monitoring. Please note that as of November 1, 2013, the 1747-ASB module has been discontinued and is no longer available for sale through official channels.
