Description

The Red Lion HESS0000 Hall Effect speed sensor is engineered to detect steel gears and other ferrous targets with high precision. Operating within a frequency range of 0 to 10 kHz, it provides accurate speed measurements without a minimum threshold speed, unlike traditional magnetic pickup sensors. The sensor operates on a +8 to +30 VDC power supply and features reverse polarity protection, ensuring durability and reliability in various industrial environments. Its stainless steel casing allows for flush mounting into metal panels, and it comes with a 10-foot (3.05-meter) cable for flexible installation. The sensor is epoxy encapsulated, offering resistance to oil, dirt, and moisture, making it ideal for tachometric inputs and other demanding applications.
