The DES-1008D features eight 10/100 Mbps ports, allowing seamless connectivity for both Ethernet and Fast Ethernet devices. Each port supports auto-negotiation between 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX, as well as full- and half-duplex modes, ensuring optimal performance for connected devices. The switch employs a store-and-forward switching scheme, which filters out error packets, enhancing overall network efficiency. Its compact design and plug-and-play installation make it suitable for small office and home office (SOHO) environments.
